He is the best novelist I've come across since St. Aubyn. Quite in a different vein. Digresses like Steinbeck. Sets up scenes and action like Cormac McCarthy. Draws characters like Leonard. Reading him is fun and elucidates aging, Indian culture shock, western issues, love. And he has been prolific.
