news re/ school

Well, my blogging is coming back to life thanks to Spanish 1020. Estudio espanol en clase dos veces por semana en clase, y tengo dos dias virtuales, cuando estudio al computadora portatil. All in all it's teaching me Spanish at a surprising rate. I have to drill, review, and memorize to get where I have to go. I do it, but need to do it more. This weekend, I sat with my book, and the version of it that is on the computer (which has videos, interactivity, links to extensive additional resources) and went back almost to the beginning of the year, reviewing.

I remember that in my math class last summer, how there were always review questions at the start of the homework. A very useful thing. I should have started the practice of regular review sooner.

My ceramics explorations have been so much fun. I'm taking a class with Brian Snapp, an inspired teacher and artist. We play, experiment and try new things looking at the surfaces of ceramic work. I just wish the days were four more hours longer, or that I could give up sleep.
